- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪After being insured with Halifax Mutual for over 9 yrs they cancelled my policy siting that my home was in disrepair. I am a single mother dealing with everything alone and I thought this was my insurance company apparently they do not care about their customers they only care about their bottom line. They did come through when I had a claim but no one ever advised me that it would hurt the future of obtaining insurance with other companies . I was told during the last hurricane when I needed to file b/c of wind damage don't even think about it b/c I had the larger claim and now this . I am now aware that they don't want to write policies anymore for people that live on the coast so I guess that is ultimately why they cancelled me .This company has caused me emotional distress .I do not suggest if your single woman to obtain insurance with them they apparently do not care about their customers and they are not about small families they are just like the rest of the sharks out there only after their bottom line .September 10, 2017by spider woman
